The Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance, in conjunction with Moxie Films, will bring a documentary film based on Dr. Sondermann’s writings. This film tells the story of the 1969 return to his native Germany 30 years after he and his parents escaped just days before the outbreak of WWII. Dr. Sondermann was a political science professor at Colorado College, a Colorado Springs City Council member, the first president of Temple Shalom, and a beloved member of the Colorado Springs community.

The Greenberg Center will host a film screening, discussion with film creator Cyd Chartier-Cohn and a dessert reception. Don’t miss this amazing evening!

I have watched many Documentaries on the Holocaust.Never Enough! I am not Jewish.Though I would Have been proud to Be.This Film which can never be outdated,Is a heart wrenching and Unimaginable look into a recounting of a man,who then a boy lost everything except his parent’s and life.No person today, can ever image including myself the unspeakable horror’s that so many were force to endure, during the darkest period in humanity. It is my hope that films like this, keep the spirit of so many, who could not and can not speak for themselves, alive.May their spirits always grace this earth may their memories never, never be forgotten.”Humanity and respect for life is all we have.If we do not have these,we have nothing.”Thank you”
