Religious Belief in the 21st Century

Professors David Gardiner (Colorado College) and Jeff Scholes (UCCS) will dialogue about the current state of religious belief. Relatively recent challenges to traditional religious belief that come in the form of the “New Atheism,” Secular Humanism, religious pluralism and technological innovations, to name a few, have problematized a straightforward belief in a transcendent realm. Gardiner and Scholes will converse about these problems and invite a lively discussion with audience members on the topic.
