The 20th Anniversary celebration for the Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce is this coming Saturday.  Colorado’s Lieutenant Governor Joseph Garcia and his wife Claire have agreed to join us and share some thoughts on business and education.  Lt. Gov Garcia has been a friend of the Colorado Springs community for years having served as President of Pikes Peak Community College and Colorado State University Pueblo.  Claire is a professor at Colorado College and both of the Garcias are keen advocates for small business and education.   We have an excellent program planned with a few surprises for you on Saturday.  The journey to support our small minority owned businesses in the Colorado Springs area has been challenging yet rewarding.  Our future is tied to your commitment to education and our ability to access a part of the economic pie.  We want to share with you a brief glimpse of the work that has been accomplished in the past 20 years.  The Chamber has been the catalyst for some enduring community actions which have brought diverse organizations together for the benefit of southern Colorado.
Please visit our website www.csblackchamber.org under the news section on the home page and purchase your tickets ($45 per person) for the evening.  We also encourage your organization to support the event as an honored sponsor for the Anniversary Dinner. The Chamber appreciates those companies and individuals who are willing to show their support for the Chamber and small business in our city.
