Motown in the Rockies

Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region “Motown in the Rockies” Winter Wonderland Scholarship Fundraiser, Saturday, December 1, 2012, 7 pm, The Mining Exchange, 8 S. Nevada Avenue (corner of Nevada and Pikes Peak). Your generous support will provide scholarships for worthy graduating seniors in the Pikes Peak Region.

DJ Sugar Bear will be spinning tunes from the Motown era (60’s, 70’s and 80’s) with a little Wobble, Cupid Shuffle and Electric Slide mixed in. There will also be a surprise live performance! Tickets for this very important scholarship fundraiser are $45.00.  Corporate sponsorships are welcome.  A VIP reception with cash bar and hors d’oeuvres will be held in the ballroom at 7 pm, and the dance will follow at 8 pm.

Kick off this holiday season with music by Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Commodores, Martha & the Vandellas, The Marvelettes, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, David Ruffin, Jr. Walker & the All Stars, Rare Earth, Teena Marie, and more!  We look forward to seeing you on December 1st!
