Event: Election Education Forum

Citizens Project, the Colorado Springs Independent, the Pikes Peak Equality Coalition, Fox21, and the League of Women Voters invite you to join us at our 2013 municipal election forum:

voteTuesday, March 12, 5:15-8:30pm
Stargazers Theatre, 10 Parkside Drive, 80910
Free & open to the public, snacks and beverages available for purchase
Hear from and interact with City Council candidates in all six districts, watch as candidates debate and field media questions, and bring some questions of your own!

This year, we have 25 candidates in six new districts – and we want you to meet them all, so we’ve extended our usual forum time to accommodate six debates. Doors will open at 5:15pm, with the program commencing at 5:25. Come for your district, or stay for them all:
5:30pm- District 4
6:00pm – District 6
6:30pm – District 2
7:00pm – District 1
7:30pm – District 3
8:00pm – District 5

    What questions have you provided (if any) to candidates to prepare for the discussion?

      We haven’t provided any questions in advance – we hope to give candidates practice in the “thinking on one’s feet” aspect of Council service. 🙂
