In the early 90s, Citizens Project emerged as the champion for equal rights, bringing together diverse groups who had previously not aligned. Despite it being a scary time in our community, Citizens Project’s “Create Community” and “Celebrate Diversity” stickers became visible all over town as a silent but powerful reminder that we were not alone. Citizens Project and other organizations brought together people of diverse backgrounds and viewpoints to have civil discourse and find common ground. Citizens Project’s voter guide also helped citizens make informed voting decisions that can have a real impact. Citizens Project has inspired us to always listen and find common ground with our fellow citizens, remaining curious about and respectful of our friends and neighbors.” -Pam and Juliet
