“I grew up in Colorado Springs and in 1992, I voted for Amendment 2. I didn’t have any animosity toward anyone, but I didn’t question the proponents’ spin that it simply eliminated the creation of special rights for particular groups of people. Since making that mistake, I have committed myself to learning as much as I can about the issues and the candidates before entering the voting booth. I support Citizens Project because it provides the information I need to make an informed decision – nonpartisan voter guides focused on issues of equality, diversity, and separation of church and state. Thanks to Citizens Project, I am now an informed voter.” -Davis
Fewer than 32% of registered voters submitted ballots for the April 2017 municipal election. Citizens Project has been actively working to increase voter turnout by reaching out to voters and providing accurate information about voting and non-partisan information about candidates and issue analysis.
