Join us at a civil dialogue

You may have already heard Focus on the Family’s Jim Daly on the NPR program On Being as part of their Civil Conversations Project. If you tuned in, you know that Jim Daly not only promoted the use of civil conversation as a way of moving beyond differences, but he also shouted out Colorado Springs Independent Publisher John Weiss for his approach to finding common ground.

We invite you to join us on that common ground this Sunday to hear a civil conversation about this election cycle, featuring John Weiss and Jim Daly.

John had this to say about the forum:

“This Sunday evening I am honored (and more than a tad scared) to participate in a ‘Civil Dialogue Regarding the Election’ with Jim Daly, President of Focus on the Family at Vanguard Church in Colorado Springs. This free debate will focus on the disagreements between core conservative and liberal values.

My goal is to be able to leave with my head on. I also want folks to see moderates/liberals/progressive as forward thinking, humble, factual and reasonable.

If things go as planned, I also want all attending to understand that those of differing opinions can have respectful dialogue. And despite our differences, that there are many areas of common ground.”

Please join us in celebrating common ground and respectful, civil dialogue.
