Drew Houston considers herself a lifelong catalyst for positive change and cites one of her earliest organizing experiences working with her father to get the racist mascot of her Jr. High School changed as the event that helped her realize her purpose. Prior to joining Citizens Project, she held many social justice-oriented volunteer and professional roles, including serving as a Community Organizer with the Colorado Trust and as a REDI (race, equity, diversity, and inclusion) consultant for Atlanta-based tech company LeaseQuery.
Drew received a BA in Communications from Adams State University and completes the requirements for an MS in Leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2020. In 2019 and 2020, she also attended many community-based training programs that have prepared her for this role, including Leadership Plenty at El Pomar, and the Community Leadership Program at the Center for Creative Leadership.
An action-oriented leader, Drew is drawn to the verbs in the Citizen’s Project mission and upon earning her Master’s degree in Leadership in 2020, feels most excited about leading Citizens Project as it continues to make a positive impact on the community. “Citizens Project has an amazing reputation within the community, and I don’t take that lightly; we are a trusted resource, and I look forward to continuing and building that reputation through our various initiatives.”
Erin is passionate about promoting equity and inclusion, having over a decade of experience in Social
Service. She earned her Graduate Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in New York and
has since worked in the non-profit sector, public education, and recently for a health equity organization.
Her heart has always been in advocacy and providing resources to those in need. She’s excited to bring her
diversified experience and energy to serve Citizens Project as our Programming and Operations Manager.
